TAKING CARE OF YOUR BABIES SKIN - 4 Common skin problems in babies

header
Your babies skin is very delicate and can be prone to skin irritation - so it is essential to pay extra care and attention to your little one's skin.
Here at Bambo Nature, we've put together some information on four common skin problems your little one could develop.
Note: as with any health-related issue, especially in young children; please seek medical advice if skin related problems occur.

Cradle Cap:

Cradle cap is the greasy, scaly patches that sometimes appear on the scalps of young babies. It is common and doesn't usually itch or cause discomfort, however, do not pick at the scales as this can cause an infection. Cradle cap is not contagious and is not caused by poor hygiene or an allergy. It usually appears in babies in the first two months and clears up without treatment within weeks to a few months.

Sometimes the hair will come away with the flakes but don't panic; it will grow back.

Why not try: Splish Splash Bath Oil by Bambo Nature

Lightly rub our Splish Splash Oil onto your babies scalp and then use a soft baby brush to very gently loosen any loose skin flakes from the scalp.

Dry Skin:

Dryness in babies sensitive thin skin can be common especially during hot or dry weather.

Dry skin, like on adults, can cause discomfort and may itch or crack, which when not taken care of, could lead to a skin infection.

Sensitive Skin and Scalp:

A lot of babies are prone to skin irritation. Choosing a hypoallergenic and fragrance-free product will help prevent allergic reactions and irritations.

Intertrigo:

Some babies can develop a rash in their skin folds, especially in the neck. This can commonly be caused by excessive moisture from drool and spit up that can collect in the creases which don’t get any air. A barrier cream can be used to shield your baby’s skin from excessive moisture.

Why not try:  Love Balm Soothing Cream by Bambo Nature

Our nourishing, soothing cream helps shield your baby’s skin from excessive moisture. It creates a breathable protective barrier on the skin to keep it soft, smooth and nourished.
