Bambo Nature Ingredients
Allantoin— A skin conditioning, skin protecting, soothing active ingredient that helps prevent and treat dry or chapped skin and lips.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract— A plant known for its ability to help regenerate skin and hair by preserving moisture and balancing pH levels. It contains important vitamins, including B12, C and E, as well as beta carotene, the predecessor of vitamin A.
Aqua— Tap water treated by reverse osmosis to remove dissolved and suspended chemicals and bacteria.
Brassica Campestris Seed Oil— An oil with a high content of natural vitamin E, which protects your skin and hair against free radicals, oxidation, and outer pollution.
Brassica Napus Seed Oil - An oil with a high content of natural vitamin E, which protects your skin and hair against free radicals, oxidation, and outer pollution.
Butyrospermum Parkii Butter — A natural fat obtained from the fruit of the karate tree, it is known to restore skin suppleness, increase moisturization, and improve the appearance of irritated dry skin.
Canola Oil— An oil with a high content of natural vitamin E, protecting against free radicals and oxidation. A good protector against outer pollution, it soothes and moisturizes your skin.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride— A vegetable oil used in cosmetics to promote penetration and nourishment through fatty acid esters that do not leave visible traces of oiliness on the skin. Stable when exposed to air.
Cellulose (ECF fluff)— the fibres obtained from plant-based materials that create a soft filling; our nappies and pants use fluff which is elemental chlorine-free (ECF). Fluff is the basis of the absorbent core of the nappy. It absorbs 15 times its weight.
Cetearyl Alcohol - Used as an emulsion stabilizer, as well as an aqueous and no aqueous viscosity-increasing agent. It imparts an emollient feel to the skin and can be used in water-in-oil emulsions, oil-in-water emulsions, and anhydrous formulations.
Cetearyl Glucoside— A vegetable emulsifier, suitable for sensitive skin and promotes softness. Made from cetearyl alcohol and glucose.
Citric Acid - pH adjustment
Coco-Glucoside— A mild vegetable non-ionic surfactant (surface active agent) that is degradable. It acts as a very mild cleansing agent.
Cocos Nucifera Oil— A grouping of primarily short-chain fatty acids bonded with glycerine and expressed from coconut kernels. Stable when exposed to air, with good softening qualities, anti-inflammatory properties, and the ability to soothe dry, itchy, and sensitive skin.
Decyl Glucoside – Is a non-ionic surfactant with excellent foaming capacity and good dermatological compatibility. This makes it suitable for use as a base surfactant or a co-surfactant in cosmetic surfactant cleansing preparations.
Elastane— An elastic polyurethane material used in the nappies for a snug, comfortable fit.
Glycerine — Preserves the natural moisture balance in skin and hair, which increases elasticity and helps retain moisture. Ours is of vegetable origin.
Glycine Soja Oil - Is a mild vegetable oil, and easily degradable. Provides moisture and suppleness to the skin.
Hotmelt (glue) – Sprayed between the layers of our diapers. The glue is based on natural ingredients as synthetic resin.
Hydrogenated Castor Oil — An emollient carrier oil that leaves the skin soft and supple, while keeping cosmetic formulations together.
Ink – The ink is on the back-sheet to indicate the size of the diaper and to make it more appealing for the user. The ink is non-sensitizing and without toxic or cancerogenic heavy-metal-containing pigments.
Lauryl Glucoside – Is a nonionic surfactants obtained from renewable, plant-derived feedstocks. It stands for first-rate environmental and skin compatibility profiles, creating a perfect synergy of mildness and effective cleansing.
Levulinic Acid - A humectant with skin conditioning properties. Has preservative effect.
Nonwoven – Polypropylene (PP) coverstock, permanently hydrophilic. Nonwoven helps to make the nappy soft and comfortable. Nonwoven is also used in the acquisition layer to absorb the liquid faster into the absorbent core.
Olus Oil (Vegetable Oil)— A mild vegetable oil with origins from rapeseed. Oxidation-stable and easily degradable, it maintains your skin’s moisture and elasticity.
Pentylene Glycol - A 100% naturally derived multi-functional preservative. It functions as humectant/moisturizer, emollient and is anti-microbial.
Polyacrylate (SAP)— A superabsorbent polymer. SAP (combined with fluff) is the basis of the absorbent core of the nappy. SAP has the ability to absorb and retain large volumes (30-50 times its own weight). The right ratio of fluff (EFC) and SAP ensures the optimal absorbent level in the nappy in order to keep the surface of the nappy dry.
Polypropylene (PP) non-woven on the siders, hydrophobic – These ingredients are used for the leg cuffs of the nappy. Our latex-free leg cuffs help the nappy stay in place, for baby’s comfort and freedom of movement.
Polyethylene (PE)— The most commonly used plastic in production globally; however, the foil on our changing mats is made from renewable resources rather than petroleum or natural gas.
Polyglyceryl-2 Dipolyhydroxystearate— a softening and moisture-retaining emulsifier.
Polypropylene (PP)— a thermoplastic polymer with a low-energy, slippery surface.
Potassium Sorbate— A preservative to prevent fungi and bacteria that can occur naturally in fruit and berries. Ours is synthesized from compounds that come from mineral oils.
Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil — Rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, this oil is easily absorbed by the skin. Also useful for dry or irritated skin, due to its softening and moisturising qualities. It can also increase the natural elasticity of skin.
Siliconized polypropylene (PP) tape – Adhesive tape and hooks for repositioning of the nappy.
Siliconized polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polystyrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene block copolymer (SEBS). These breathable materials are used in the side panels of the nappy making them flexible for easy and comfortable fit.
Sodium Benzoate— A preservative used to prevent mould, yeast and fungi. Ours is synthesized from compounds from mineral oils.
Sodium Coco-Sulphate— Degradable in Bambo Nature products. It is a vegetable surfactant that works effectively on skin and hair.
Sodium Hydroxide - pH adjustment.
Sodium Levulinate - A humectant with skin conditioning properties. Has preservative effects.
Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate— A vegetable emulsifier with a high electrolyte tolerance, it is used frequently in cosmetic products, where it has skin and hair conditioning effects.
Sorbic Acid - A preservative.
Stearyl Alcohol— A vegetable viscosity builder and stabiliser of vegetable origin.
Tocopherol (E-vitamin)— One of the most important antioxidants for protection against free radicals. A fat-soluble vitamin absorbed by the cell walls, it protects fat (phospholipids) against rancidification. E-vitamin also preserves the elasticity and softness of your skin and hair.
Xanthan Gum – Xanthan Gum is produced by fermentation using the bacterium Xanthomonas campestris. Emulsifies, stabilizes and thickens the product.
Zea Mays Starch - A thickener that originates from corn. Adds consistency to the product and reduces sticky skin feel.
